We are looking for a Legal Counsel (Privacy & Compliance) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Data Protection and Privacy: Conduct data protection audits, consult on privacy implications for new products and services, and monitor the existing ones. Draft and regularly review policies related to data protection and security. Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc training for personnel. Negotiate and draft personal data aspects of contracts with partners and service providers. Closely monitor personal data regulations enforcement trends.
- Product Compliance: Provide actionable legal support and guidance on content moderation, consumer protection requirements, minors protection, and AI. Proactively inform, advise and support stakeholders across teams on regulatory compliance issues. Update and maintain AI policies across various teams. Be ready to act as a project manager for implementation of compliance solutions in our products.
- Other Regulatory Matters: Assist in monitoring and tracking emerging regulations and enforcement trends, to develop and implement regulatory strategy and policy.
- Dispute Resolution: As a little bonus, you will be involved in dispute resolution matters, from handling consumer disputes to overseeing IP enforcement in various jurisdictions.
Our requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience (EU, UK, US), preferably in video games or tech;
- Strong drafting skills, experience with policies, agreements (DPA, DTA, etc.) and assessments (DPIA, LIA, PIA, etc.) related to data protection under the GDPR are a must; experience in auditing data protection compliance;
- Awareness of regulatory trends in the fields of data protection, content regulation, online safety, with a focus on the EU;
- Business acumen and strong skills in translating complicated legal requirements into human language easily understandable for stakeholders across departments;
- Well-developed habit of rapid and simultaneous processing of multiple documents and tasks, proficiency in MS Office (Word) and Google Workspace; experience with data protection management solutions is appreciated;
- IAPP (CIPP/E/US, CIMP, etc.) or other similar certifications are welcome;
- Full working proficiency in English; knowledge of German and/or Hungarian would be an advantage;
- Proven interest in the video games industry is an extreme advantage. “Just gamers” are also very welcome.
