We are looking for a Lead Weapon Artist to join our team, a key figure in the creation and improvement of weapon models.

What you'll be doing:

  • Commissioning and receiving weapon models from outsourcing teams: ensuring quality control, project standard compliance, and collaborating with external artists.
  • R&D work: researching new technologies and methods to enhance weapon model quality, materials, and textures.
  • Developing and implementing new rendering features: improving the visual appearance of weapons, material setups, and detailing models for maximum realism.

What we expect:

  • Experience with 3D software packages: 3ds Max, Substance Painter (ZBrush proficiency is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of the PBR pipeline.
  • A solid portfolio showcasing your experience in weapon creation or technically complex objects.
  • Skills in optimizing models for first-person shooters.
  • Ability to work with references: using visual examples from other games and real life to create unique, high-quality content.
  • Proficiency in English for communication with international colleagues (at least for written communication). Primary communication can be in Russian if proficient.
  • Effective communication skills with the development team: closely collaborating with game designers, programmers, and artists to create a cohesive visual style for the weapon arsenal.

Bonus points for:

  • Artistic vision of the final product — the ability to view weapons not just as technical objects but as part of the game’s artistic integrity.
  • Ambition and initiative — a desire to propose new ideas and drive them forward within the project.

Our offer to the finalist:

  • Work in a company that made one of the most popular games in the world;
  • Competitive salary (the level of salary is discussed individually with the candidate at the interview);
  • Non-trivial tasks that will be fulfilled using innovative, promising technologies, which makes our solutions attractive and relevant in the rapidly changing IT market;
  • International team of experienced developers;
  • Our company provides assistance with relocation to the countries and offices of our company/partners: Hungary, Cyprus, Germany, Dubai, Montenegro, Latvia, and Armenia.
  • Work format: remote or hybrid (remote/office). Flexible start of the working day;
  • Help with health insurance.
