Technical Writer

Gaijin develops AAA online games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms. The Gaijin team consists of hundreds of talented game developers from across Europe and continues to grow.

We are looking for an experienced technical writer, fluent in both Russian and English, ready to contribute to the Dagor Engine project.

Dagor Engine is our unique open-source project used in the development of popular games like "War Thunder" and "Enlisted."

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for Dagor Engine, including API, SDK, guides, and technical articles.
  • Developing and updating documentation for developers and users.
  • Collaborating with the development team to gather necessary information and ensure the documentation's relevance.
  • Conducting revisions and updates to existing documentation in line with project changes and updates.

Our Expectations from Candidates:

  • Experience as a technical writer in IT, software development, or the gaming industry.
  • Independent development of technical documentation.
  • Deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to present complex information in a user-friendly manner.
  • Knowledge of modern "doc as code" documentation approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Russian and English.
  • Previous experience with documentation related to game engines or similar projects would be a significant advantage.
